Volunteering

What do we do?

At Broxtowe Active Schools we offer support to increase quantity and quality of physical activity opportunities for young people within schools across the Broxtowe district. As part of our provision we facilitate a variety of leadership and volunteering opportunities including the Broxtowe District Leadership & Volunteering Academy, with roles designed to suit children, young people, and adults. All of our opportunities can be tailored to shape your needs and ambitions, so that you can gain relevant experience whilst also contributing to improving the lives of young people and their families.

What do we need?

Roles can include but are not limited to; supporting event delivery, coaching and officiating, media, marketing and reporting, positions available on our Broxtowe Local Organising Committee, graduate placements, and employability skills placements.

Why should I volunteer?

As a Broxtowe Active School’s volunteer you will gain access to our extensive development programme, which includes the opportunity to gain industry specific qualifications to add to your employment prospects. Mentoring is available from our small, supportive, welcoming, committed, and enthusiastic core team; and there are also links to a strong network of wider stakeholders, as well as provision of equipment and relevant expense payments.

How do I get involved?

Simply chose one of the options on the right to discover further information, and contact us if you have any questions, or would like to be involved.
